Birthday Match

The idea for Birthday Match came from a casual chat with a friend, we were wondering what day of the week we were born, and when our birthday would next fall on that same day. I thought it was a cool idea for a small app, and decided to build it as a way to explore something new.

At that time, I was just starting to learn Angular and TypeScript, and this project became the perfect excuse to dive into it. I found Angular to be more than just a framework, it’s a full platform with a clear way of doing things, from how components are structured to how state and templates work together. It challenged me in the right way and helped me understand its conventions and power.

Even though it’s a small app, I really enjoyed working on it. It gave me the chance to create something meaningful while improving my frontend skills using a framework that feels quite different from others.

Learning Angular through a real idea made the process feel natural and rewarding.
